The Language Club of Westchester organizes and/or participates in special cultural and social activities, such as Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras, an El Cinco de Mayo Mexican Fiesta, an annual concert at Caramoor, Bastille Day festivities locally and in New York City, a summer picnic, outings to the Russian enclave Brighton Beach, an Oktoberfest, performances at the Amato Opera Theater, and an annual Holiday Party.
Past special activities have also included a flamenco show, a Halloween Party, French plays combined with Italian dinners, and dining in ethnic restaurants. Our 15th anniversary was celebrated on a Hudson River cruise. Other special outings have included a trip to the Chinese Scholar’s Garden and the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum on Staten Island.
